About the Curriculum Transformation Service (CTS)
Institutions adopting new technology such as HoloLens and GigXR apps often wish to accelerate adaptation of existing instructional resources and assignments into a mixed-reality format.
GigXR offers instructors assistance in converting existing learning materials used for analog training with plastic models, cadavers, manakins, simulated patients or other tools to be mixed-reality accessible and ready for deployment in your classroom or lab.

GigXRʼs session management platform (GMS) allows users to create Session Plans, which act as templates of specific lessons. Other users at the same institution can be given access to the Session Plan to then view and/or host that prepared content during a class or lab. Your CTS Consultant will help you create and customize Session Plans as a persistent, yet versatile, resource supporting your unique curricular needs.
Assignments or Worksheets
Instructor time and energy are precious resources! Your CTS Consultant can help you craft effective student-facing worksheets and assignments to accompany your Session Plans for GigXR apps. Provide learners with clear instructions for independent or team progression through their mixed-reality learning experience. Assess learner understanding with worksheets tailored to your learning objectives and most effectively leveraging available features of GigXR apps.
Facilitator's Guides
Save time and steps by creating a Facilitator Guide designed specially to accompany your mixed-reality content. Existing case study materials tailored to live SPʼs or manikin-based experiences naturally need adjustment to best facilitate working in a mixed-reality environment. A GigXR CTS Consultant can help you integrate your best-loved case studies to the new holographic 3D experience, with documentation of step-by-step app navigation, scenario progression, and scaffolding for probing student learning.

Anatomy Lab Assignment
You have a standard assignment targeting a comparison of male and female reproductive anatomy accompanied by a worksheet which students complete as they examine the similarities of internal and external reproductive structures. After discussing the assignment with you and receiving your existing assignment sheet, a CTS Consultant will create a
multi-stage Saved Session Plan which will effectively support the assignment in HoloHuman and work with you to create a revised worksheet, ensuring your key learning objectives are supported. Weʼll also show you how you can create similar assignments in the future.
Clinical Reasoning Case Study
You have a case study of a patient with heart failure which you would like to enhance by using HoloPatient to give your students a feeling of realism that the description on paper just doesnʼt have. After discussing the study and your goals with you, a CTS Consultant will customize vital signs for one or more of the holographic standardized patients in HoloPatient and work with you to prepare a case study tailored to your needs, including detailed
instructions on facilitating and sharing the experience with your students. Weʼll also show you how to create similar materials in the future.
Enhanced Lecture Materials
You wish to embed into your lecture slides some vibrant 3D images showing the relative positioning of cardiovascular, pulmonary, and digestive system components in the thorax. A CTS Consultant will discuss with you the specific structures, angles, and positioning that will best support your instruction, and then export clear high-resolution images from HoloHuman to enhance your instructional materials. Weʼll also show you how to create and export similar graphics as your needs evolve for future lessons.
