Cinema Suite wants to see you put YOUR Unity Project in motion!
Grab a license of Cinema Mo Cap, and show us what you’ve got. Do you have what it takes to land yourself a new iPad Mini? We are now officially collecting entries for our first Cinema Mo Cap competition. Entries will be judged on 4 criteria ranging from scene integration to quality of animations and blending.
Prizes will be awared as follows:
1st Place – iPad Mini
2nd Place – Mad Catz R.A.T. 7 Gaming Mouse
3rd Place – Free license of Cinema Pro Cams and Cinema Director
Criteria will be judged by Cinema Suite staff, and some of our friends in the game development industry. Projects will be judged on a point system, under 4 categories. A rating of 1 being the lowest for that category, and 5 being the highest. The video submission with the most points will win!
Criteria are as follows:
- Total amount of captures used in the scene will be judged. Have fun and be creative! (Three animations will receive 5 points)
- Integration with your scene – Did you apply your animations to the scene in an interesting manner. For example, see our tire jump and wall shimmy examples – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaByc4yjtCg
- Use in Mecanim Animation Controller – Are the animation(s) part of a complex controller with body masks, or is it simple, single state?
- Quality of Editing/Blending – Are the animation(s) blended nicely from other animations already present in your scene?
When you enter, send us a link to your YouTube video showing Cinema Mo Cap in motion. Shoot for 5’s in all categories, and be creative! We will feature winning videos on our own YouTube channel, and we will feature as many submissions as we can in our blog. Try to show footage inside of Unity, as well as your finished game/scene.

Please note that you are welcome to submit an entry, but only entries that are using a valid, legal version of Cinema Mo Cap will be eligible to win. Winners will be asked to provide their Unity Invoice number used to purchase Cinema Mo Cap. If you are using Cinema Mo Cap in multiple projects, you are allowed to make multiple entries in our competition. Submissions are due June 15th, 2014. Winners will be announced the following week.
