What is Industrial AR?
An augmented reality device, such as a pair of glasses, or a phone or tablet, overlays digital objects and interfaces over top of your physical environment. The AR device can use a device's camera, GPS and accelerometer to further enhance augmented head's up display into the physical world.
Augmented Reality has the ability to scan and recognize objects, including surfaces, doors, ceilings, and other objects. We can overlay digital information to physical surfaces such as factory floors, equipment and machinery, or even boardroom tables for review/analysis.
Augmented Reality allows a user or a worker to have head's up information at any time when they need it. AR glasses and other devices allow workers to do their job hands free, while being provided information that helps optimize your workforce.
Connectivity of AR devices allows augmented data and information across large distances. AR glasses and devices such as tablets can be used for remote services and field services for technicians, or for training on equipment not available on site. Future 5G technologies continue to enhance this functionality.
